Physical Appraisal
Verus Valuations® has a vast network of field agents across Canada and the United States. We can provide physical inspections from the urban centers of New York to the forest roads of British Columba.
Every physical inspection provides addition substantiation to our equipment valuation. Every appraisal completed with a physical inspection comes complete with inspection details and photographs.
Desktop Appraisal
A desktop appraisal, also known as a limited scope appraisal, is a valuation based on the machinery’s description, condition and photographs provided by you.
These are especially useful when the equipment is in a remote location, not available for a physical inspection, or the appraisal is required in a shorter timeframe.
Verus Valuations® also has its own inspection app. You can get a desktop appraisal with the benefits and peace of mind of a physical inspection.
Our Approach to Machinery & Equipment Valuations
At Verus Valuations® we take pride in delivering accurate, and consistent appraisal reports. We use the following approach for every appraisal.
Step 1: Identify & Understand
Our team reviews the scope of each Machinery & Equipment Appraisal with you to ensure that the reporting addresses your specific requirements. This helps us determine which assets require an on-site appraisal and which may be assessed using a desktop appraisal methodology. By doing so, we can provide the best solution to meet your machinery & equipment appraisal needs.
Step 2: Collect & Analyze
Next, we gather all the relevant facts and data about the equipment through a systematic approach that includes asset and equipment characteristics, such as, manufacture, model, serial number, usage, current condition, and maintenance. From this, we determine the appropriate types and methods of valuation to provide you with the most accurate and credible values.
The method of valuation may vary depending on the type of asset.
Step 3: Valuate & Report
Utilizing the selected valuation approach, we conduct extensive market research, use our extensive industry knowledge and experience, to provide an accurate valuation of machinery and equipment. Upon completion, you will receive a reliable, detailed, well-organized and certified USPAP compliant appraisal report.
